Jonathan Goh is a Singaporean contemporary circus artist, creator and director creating performances, workshops and interactive experiences for festivals, corporate events, schools and community programmes.

Beginning his circus journey at the age of 11, Jonathan has spent over a decade developing a multidisciplinary practice that combines circus technique, audience interaction, physical comedy and contemporary performance. His work draws on a wide range of disciplines and explores how circus can create meaningful shared experiences between performers and audiences.

Jonathan has performed extensively throughout Singapore and internationally. His appearances include Singapore Night Festival, Chingay Parade, Georgetown Heritage Festival (Malaysia), Gwangju Fringe Festival (South Korea), Edinburgh Fringe Street Events (United Kingdom), Lisboa Mágica (Portugal) and numerous festivals, public events and cultural programmes across Asia and Europe. In 2019, he became the first Singaporean performer featured in the Edinburgh Fringe Street Events programme.

In addition to his solo work, Jonathan was part of The Annoying Brothers, a comedy circus duo featured on Asia’s Got Talent Season 2. His performances have entertained audiences ranging from public festival crowds and family audiences to corporate clients, schools, community organisations and arts festivals.
Jonathan graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Circus Arts from the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, one of the world’s leading circus institutions. Alongside his performance practice, he develops original circus works, directs collaborative projects and mentors emerging artists through workshops, training and community initiatives.

As Chairperson of the Buskers’ Association Singapore, Jonathan has also contributed to the development of Singapore’s street performance community through advocacy, artist development and industry engagement.

As an artist, Jonathan is interested in exploring how contemporary circus can reflect Singaporean identity and culture through performance.

Today, Jonathan continues to create and present contemporary circus works internationally while exploring how circus can foster connection, participation and shared experiences across different communities and cultural contexts.
